BJL is a non profit organisation that specialises in issues of community development, such as social services, education, training, career development and employability.
Each year, BJL tenders for various government-funded and industry-sponsored programmes and projects. They needed a website that would cater to people from these organisations who had queries about BJL, as well as providing information to potential clients and partners.
Our approach
- We provided advice on building a suitable Information Architecture as well as providing assistance in simplifying and shortening content.
- We helped BJL to define the two main target audiences of the site (potential clients, and funding bodies) and their requirements for the website.
- Visitors who may not have a clear goal in visiting the site are directed via “promo boxes” on the home page to relevant pages throughout the website.
- BJL considers itself a slightly “left of field” organisation, so we created a design to reflect the community and culture of the organisation.
We're proud of the funky design we put together for BJL, so we're keen to show it off.
